About Us

Welcome to Woof and Wander, where my passion for dogs is at the heart of everything I do. It was created to provide Cornwall with a true home-away-from-home experience for your beloved dogs. Whether it's for daycare or overnight boarding, your dog will receive the highest standard of care in a safe, loving, and enriching environment.

My mission is simple: to ensure every dog enjoys top-quality care, plenty of attention, and exciting experiences. With a focus on safety, comfort, and fun, I make sure your furry companion has the best possible time, whether they're here for the day or staying overnight.

Weekdays will be spent with their friends at daycare (think of it as playgroup for your dogs!) whilst weekend boarders will be able to explore the best coast lines and beaches Cornwall has to offer.

I am qualified, insured, have a 4 star council license and cannot wait to meet you and your pups!

Daycare

Whether you need your dog looking after whilst you are at work, or you would just love them to make some friend's, Woof and Wander is ready to meet yours and your pups every need. We offer personal care from our licensed and insured home in Newquay, where we can focus on quality over quantity. Think small groups, individual attention and Cornish adventures galore - woodland wanders, coastal sniffaris, beach air and to really let the dogs be dogs. With early morning drop offs and evening pickup times available, leaving your dog at Woof and Wander has never been easier.

Puppy Socialisation

Having a new puppy can be the most exciting and rewarding time! Here at Woof and Wander I know how important it is that every puppy has the best start in life and this includes having lots of socialising and making friends from  a young age. With penned off areas, tucked away cosy corners, and a dedicated young dogs area, I can cater to puppies from 12 weeks old.

Home Boarding

I am also excited to introduce a new service I am now offering: 4-star dog boarding from my home in Newquay.  My house is council licensed and insured, and I am fully qualified and trained in dog first aid. During the weekdays the boarders will join their daycare friends on all the adventures, and during the weekends they get to explore all that Newquay and Cornwall has to offer (along with plenty of cuddles on the sofa of course!).

Get to Know Me

Hi, I’m Ali – and I’ve been dog-obsessed for as long as I can remember! There’s even a photo of me as a kid, stood in the rain in my wellies, happily playing with my aunt and uncle’s dog.

I grew up in Luton, moved to the Isles of Scilly as a teen (where I got my first rescue dog, Alfie), and spent every spare moment walking and caring for dogs. It wasn’t long before I became the island’s go-to “crazy dog lady”!

Fast forward to 2020, I returned to Cornwall and went back to school, eventually qualifying with a diploma and degree in Animal Management and Animal Health and Welfare. While studying, I worked at a local daycare and completely fell in love with the job. From pack dynamics to who gets the last spot on the sofa – I soaked up every moment.

If you’d told me five years ago I’d be running my own daycare, I’d have laughed… but here we are! Alongside my two golden retrievers, Chester and Quinn, I’m so excited to welcome you and your pups to a loving, home-from-home doggy daycare and boarding in the heart of Cornwall.

Can’t wait to meet you all!

Ali x

Guidelines:

- Dogs must be fully vaccinated and Ill need proof of this. Flea/worm treatment must be up to date.

- I can accept females who are unspayed, but they cannot be in season and need to be at least 4 weeks finished from their last season.

- I cannot accept entire adult dogs. Males who start as puppies will be asked to be neutered between 12-18 months to continue using Woof and Wander services.

- A complimentary meet and greet will need to be completed for your dog to attend daycare or stay overnight.

- A trial night will need to be successfully completed to be accepted for overnight stays. (Only needed when the stay is longer than 3 nights).

- Your dog must be good with other dogs (this is why the meet and greet is important for both parties!) as they will be staying overnight with my two golden retrievers, and quite possibly another boarder. No children will be at either property at any point.

Reviews

Texas's Mum
"Can highly recommend Woof and Wander, who helped look after my boy whilst going to a funeral. This is the first time I have left him so was very nervous and wasn't sure what time we would be back... they were so accommodating  and I couldn't have left him in safer hands. I even got updates during the day to put my mind at ease, with videos of him playing with his new friends."
